Today I took time off to go shopping at Orchard OG, thought of replenishing my inner beauty stock since its 20%+10% for members. I forgot… its only at ORCHARD POINT, and its ONLY ONE DAY, and its CLOSED DOOR FOR MEMBERS ONLY.

It’s a nightmare.

I was on the bus around 10plus to 11, and saw the queue went round and round the front entrance. My sis already messaged me earlier that the queue was freaking long. I din believe it to be THAT LONG. So I skipped it and alighted at Plaza Singapura to do some other shopping and headed to Chinatown to grab some toiletries before heading back to Orchard Point OG.

I was there like 2plus, I headed for my favourite section and pick up a couple of things. Tried two pieces of dresses; a few pairs of shoes which are out of stock, left only the display; headed down to the basement to grab something for my hubby; and it was around 4plus that I tried to queue up for payment.

Yes, its another nightmare.

Their cashiering system is super poor. Though they had a few temp cashiers and they split up those who are paying cash only, the queue is damn long. They should follow what Isetan did: centralising the cashiers and have lots of them, say 20, rather than constructing one or two temp cashiering counter. It obstruct the way and also making customers thinking of hopping the queue or hogging the queue. Hogging in the sense that they have like 20 – 30 items to purchase, having different discount mode (credit voucher/ direct discount).

I waited like 2 hours plus to get my purchase done. BTW, the cashier counter that I was queuing had its system broke down. I nearly had to re-queue another cashiering counter. It’s really scary.
